PPI Banks Trying to Opt Out

I was wondering if someone can supply some advice to me. I have tried to claim PPI from Lloyds, HBOS and NatWest from older accounts. Unfortunately I don't have the account numbers only my name, address, branch and date of birth.
All Banks have claimed they are only obligated to keep records for 6 years and have searched and cannot find the details. Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative to sourcing my old details as the Banks don't want to help further. Thanks

Hi there & welcome
I assume you've tried checking old statements from where you repaid the monthly repayments?
And if you bank online and still with the same bank now, you may be able to track down the account numbers that way, these should be found next to the monthly repayment of the loans.
When you requested for the account numbers - how did you do this?
Sometimes they will not enclose details without a Subject Access Request (SAR).
With mine (lloyds) they sent me data going back to the late 90's on a SAR done last year, if you want to do this (optionally) there is a SAR template letter on the ppi reclaiming forums.
Ask for further help if required, there are ways around this.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
