Reserve Price?

Just looking for some more advice about selling on E-bay. If I have an item to sell and I know that its worth say £15 and I want to sell it at that price or more. Is there a way that I can start the bidding lower but make sure it does'nt go for less? On reserve price it seems that you cant do it for less than a certain ammount.
Nice to save.

Nope, there is no way to do that without breaking eBay's rules.
All you can do is have a high starting price and hope you don't put off bidders, or start low and keep your fingers crossed.0 -
someone did say to me that you can put some wording on to the effect that you are able to with draw the item up to 12hrs before the finish time? This in effect means that if its got a low bid you can save your item. Not very good for your credit tho I wouldnt have thought!Nice to save.0

You can do end your item, although eBay "strongly discourage" sellers from doing so, and you may not get your fees back if you do this.
On top of this, you have to bear in mind that the majority of bids will probably come in the last few hours/minutes, so you may actually miss out on selling the item at a price that you would have been pleased with.0 -
Just add your comment at the end of the item description.chillerman wrote:Sorry but also meant to ask about how/where you can put a comment about p&p to countries abroad. TaI

I use the old selling form:
http://cgi5.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellHub2
On here in order to specify which countries you'll ship to and how much the p&p will be, you have to fill in the details under the "Postage" heading on the "Payment & Postage" page. (I'm not sure how you do this on the new form though.
)
If you want to block bidders from countries that you don't want to ship to, you have to tick the relevent box in your seller preferences:
http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences
If you want to give written details of where you ship to and how much it will be, you can do this in the auction listing itself, and/or in the Payment Instructions section.0 -
sorry but i dont understand properly?
afaik you can start an item at say 99p AND put a reserve price of 15 quid on it. if it fails to reach the reserve, there is no contract to sell the item.
or am i missing summat here?Get some gorm.0 -
Just start your auction at £15.
You don't want to sell for less than that.
You'll only atract buyers who are prepared to pay at least that.
Saves everyone else from wasting their time.:)0 -

The minimum reserve price that you can set on eBay is £50.0 -
