Outlook Express

When I press the shortcut button on my keyboard for Outlook Express, a different Outlook page comes up and I dont have anything in it, eg messages or addresses, can anyone tell me why this is happening, and a remedy. It still works fine when I go in to Outlook through the start menu.

Thanks.

  • What type of keyboard is it?

If it's a logitech like mine you just need to check what e-mail program is set as the HOT KEY in the itouch software. Make sure it's set as your Outlook Express and it will open this when you press it.

If it's another make of keyboard it will be similar but you may have to look up how to set their hot keys.
  • could it be that its opening "Outlook" as opposed to Outlook Express? They are two different programs. Perhaps if you go to:
"Start" -> "Set Programs Access and Defaults" click on the down arrow next to custom -> and select Outlook Express next to where it says "choose a default email program". and OK it.

Otherwise perhaps its your keyboard settings.

    Hope this helps :)
  • Hi,

noticed same thing on mine yesterday,

    go into control panel> keyboard> key settings> mail> edit> outlook express.

While you're in there you can have a look at other key change options.
