Insurance for over 80s

Can anyone help with insurance for my dad is car insurance renewal is very expensive.
some insurers don't want to know when he mentions he's over 80, wondered if any
one did deals for over 80s he as never had a claim seems wrong to penalize people because of age

If you plot premium against age you will get a flattened out U shaped curve. Both old and young drivers pay additional premium as they are statistically more likely to have claims.
Contacting an age related charity or company as ariba suggests may result in more favourable quotes and also their staff should be selected as being good at dealing with more senior customersAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
