Washing your hands before packaging a parcel?

I take it by the response's here knowone has ever had positive feedback suggesting "Great item, Seller clearly went to trouble of washing their hands before despatch"

On a serious note though, I do hope you are marking a tally on the soap so you can work out how much to add onto the total costs of your sales...?0 -
I noramally only wash my hands first if they're noticably dirty/ smelly (in which case I'd normally wash them anyway) or sometimes if I've got a bad cold, though the winter weather would probably kill the cold germs before the parcel reached its destination anyway, and I also tend to re-use Jiffy bags whose previous sender probably didn't wash their hands either.0

Hi, I don't wash hands, in fact I tend to scratch the packet before sending. My pen is normally pressed against it too, to mark the buyers address and stuff.

I know It sounds bizarre but does anyone else do this?
Howabout locating a clean spot on your carpet before taking the photo of the item for sale?

I find that if I have just washed my hands, there's too much friction when I smooth the packing tape over the seal.
Doesn't washing with soap remove some of the body's natural oils or something?0 -
I usually clean anything I am sending before packing, but generally not my hands.
It can be disappointing to open a package and find dirty product (unless it was described as such in the auction) or worst still, the smell of smoke as you open the box....0 -

Eeeeuuuuwwwww! Thanks is disgusting! I would not want to eat anything that had been put on that carpet. What the Deuce?0 -
 :rotfl: Yes, that would be advisable! If the seller has no clean spot on their carpet, they could always try finding a clean surface elsewhere. Beds (with clean covers) seem quite popular as photo backgrounds for eBay items. They're not particularly attractive to buyers, but better than dirty carpets anyway.funkyfunkymonkey wrote:Howabout locating a clean spot on your carpet before taking the photo of the item for sale?
