French Doors - Replacing Lock

Need to change a lock to a door as I cannot seem to lock it from one side, the barrel appears to be damaged as thats what a quick google answer seem to suggest. Now my problem is I cannot seem to get access to the right door lock.
Left Door - this is easy as I can see the screw that needs to be removed: http://www.flickr.com/photos/76894939@N02/6895786895/
Right Door - looks like this so I cannot see the screw that I need to remove. I did remove this piece but could not get access to the screw similar to link 1.
A quick google suggests I need to remove the panel attached to the right door as per link 3.

Three Screws similar to the one pictured (the one shown at the very top I removed) i thought by removing these screws holding the panel to the door will allow me access to the lock, but the panel doesn't appear to come off. I never put to much force in case I damage it.

Any ideas what I should be looking for?

to change a euro cylinder is very easy. remove the big screw just below the latch.
use the key to part turn the lock, and the lock cylinder will slide out.
installing a new cylinder is simply a reversal of the above.Get some gorm.0 -

French doors are a little different, you will see from pic / link 1 i can do that easily. Its the other door that I have problems as I cannot see the screw. See pic / link 2
The extra bit of panel makes it difficult, I'll see if I can post a pic of this panel0 -
See the panel in the middle between the two doors: http://www.flickr.com/photos/76894939@N02/6895944499/
I need to remove that so I can access the screw that you suggest. The problem i have is I cannot seem to remove it0 -
You need to remove the interlock bar, undo the large gold headed screws this will allow you to remove the bar and access the lock behind it. Remember to put it back on exactly where it was so that the main door lock lines up with the keepers on the interlock bar (mark it with a pencil before taking off)0

I removed three large screws but it was still locked tight to the door
I never put to much strength on it in case I damaged it. I'll give it another go when the rain stops.
Guessing I need to put some strength on removing the interlock bar after removing the screws?0 -
Just found another screw that was locking the bar in place
Now fixed.0 -
Good stuff, glad i could help0
