Hi. Would anybody know why I get an 'Operation Failed' warning message whenever I try to send/receive mail through outlook? Internet connection working fine. Tried all help options but to no avail. I have not been messing about with settings or programs. A system restore hasnt fixed it either. I'm stuck!!
Thanks
Thanks

Have you installed a firewall or av recently?0

No been running AVG av for ages with no problems. Firewall been installed since xp was a few years ago. Would reinstalling outlook help?0

Try ...
Shut down & restart
and, if the problem still exists, stick the Outlook/Office CD in and then, in Outlook, Help, Detect and Repair.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

Thanks for replies and link. Unfortunately after i click the mail icon, i do not get the option of clicking on a setup dialog box. I cannot find the profile details anywhere. All i get is the internet connection box? Now when i try to open outlook, i get an error and it just closes.!!! Sorry if i'm being really thick here.0
