You're talking about their TalkMore 3 CPS package at £5.99 for all UK 01/02 calls (up to 75 minutes, redial to avoid charges). Worryingly, the text states:
TalkMore 3 usually costs £12.99, but we’re offering the service at the special price of £5.99 for a limited period.
There is no indication that those signing up at the £5.99 'special price' will not suddenly find their subscription rise to £12.99. In any case, even at £5.99/month, it's not as good value as:

(1). Euphony's £5.99 per month eutalk+18 CPS package - which is inclusive of 24/7/365 calls to landlines in 28 countries, to mobiles in Canada and USA and to UK 01/02 numbers (up to 60 minutes in each case). A £4.99 per month reduction in the charge for the first 6 months (bringing the average monthly cost down to £4.33/month for the mandatory 18 months of the initial contract) makes this even more attractive but it has to be remembered that the monthly subscription will apply even when you're away on holiday and not using the 'phone at all. The 18-month contract is, of course, the downside.

    (2)
Sky's £5 per month Sky Talk Unlimited CPS package (for Sky TV susbcribers only) - which is inclusive of 24/7/365 calls to landlines in 10 countries, to mobiles in Canada and USA and to UK 01/02 numbers (up to 60 minutes in each case). Remember though that the monthly subscription will apply even when you're away on holiday and not using the 'phone at all. The requirement to be a Sky TV subscriber is, of course, the downside.

It has to be remembered that CPS packages giving free evening and weekend UK 01/02 calls for no monthly fee are available - so it's only if you need weekday daytime calls that these 'inclusive' packages become worthwhile.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    It's been £5.99 for quite a while
    I don't have sky
I don't wan't to tie myself into an 18 months contract just for calls, I might for a combined package, I'll give talktalk a miss, but will have a look at tiscali when it comes out

I already have Primus Saver 2 option, but I now work from home so need a daytime package, as I have been monitoring the no. of 18185 daytime calls I've been making
