Hi
I am a bit new to all this but have read through the threads and wanted to ask your opinion.
I need to open two bank accounts, one to put my tennats payments each month into and another to have as a slush fund current account for day to day things.
I have a Lloyds TSB current account which i pay cheques into from my tennats. The dd doesnt go out of this account though.
I have contacted my mortgage provider and have asked can i make my new dd from the lloyds tsb account. My plan is to set the dd up and then transfer to the new halifax high interest current account to get the £100 and get my tennants to pay in there. They pay £450 per month and i was going to top it up for 2 months to get he £100.
I have now read about the loophole with Lloyds TSB pay and save so am interested in that too. I have opened a pay and save but was just wondering can i transfer the dd from my lloyds tsb to get the £100 and then carry on using the account for pay and save.
What do you think??
Thanks
SARAH
