disabling graphics card hypermemory

I'm trying to sort out my computer and want to disable the hypermemory on my graphics card as I don't want it using system memory. I have a couple of questions as I couldn't find anything useful on the internet (closest I got was messing about in the registry - no thanks!) I have an ASUS radeon x550 PCIe card (no laughing please!).
1. I know my graphics card is supposed to have 128mb of onboard memory - how can I verify this is actually there and I wasn't lied to about it? I know some cards don't have any memory onboard at all and only use system memory.
2. How do I get the card to stop using system memory? I can't find any setting for this at all, only for anti-aliasing and stuff like that.
Thanks for any help this is really stopping my enjoying using my computer!

1 - As far as I can tell from the Asus webpages, they have never made a X550 graphics card without on board memory.
Actually, I cannot name any graphics cards that use only system memory? There are graphics chips built into motherboards that use only system memory, but no separate graphics cards without onboard memory that I know of.
2 - you could try using ATI Tray Tools, though I haven't tried this myself.0 -
hmmm, it seems like you can't adjust the hypermemory - I find this quite shocking! What's the point of having a dedicated graphics card if it may decide to suck on system memory, yuo may as well use the built in graphics on the motherboard! Oh well. thanks for looking for me, Mobeer.
