no one has conned me as im not the op but i would feel conned in the same situation, you are comparing two shops when the fact is the op only went into one !!! simples

I'm confused, which shops do you think I'm comparing?

Am I comparing Asda with the fictitious shop so my argument is invalid because the customer didn't visit the fictitious shop?

Or am I comparing the two fictitious shops which are competitors and have to match prices to attract customers? In which case, don't you think that Asda have competitors and have to adjust their prices in the same way?

The underlying point is that any shops has to amend their prices up and down for various reasons (to be competitive, draw in customers, quickly deplete stock) and I don't see that if shops do this they could be accused of conning customers.

Go and buy another at £4 and then take it back with the receipt for the £8 one ;)

Didn't we have a thread similar to this a few months back - something about a second-hand game?

I'll make the same comment again, would you take the £8 one back to the shop and pay more if the offer stopped and the price went up to £16?

This is the sort of thing I would perhaps notice, nudge my partner and say 'Oh damn, look at that' and then wonder off and forget it within 3 seconds....it is only £4 after all!

The price was reduced by £4, so you’d spend £2 in petrol to get there and £2 in parking to save £4?
