Any Oystercard deals?

I've been chosen as an ambassador for London during the olympics. Problem is I need to attend 3 training sessions and for these they don't pay for travel or accommodation. So does anyone know of any oyster card or London travel deals anywhere?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I think you may get free travel on the days you work during the olympics.

In regard to your training days, the cheapest way to travel will be Oyster card. You will pay a £5 refundable desposit for the card and you need to top up as required. You could save money by using the buses instead of tubes as the Oyster daily cap on buses is £4.20 whereas peak it is £8.40 for zones 1-2 and off peak £7 if using a combination of transport. Oyster Single tube journey is £2.00 and £1.35 for a single bus journey.

TfL doesn't do deals! They rip you off and the pretend the Oyster is a bargain - it's not, but it would be silly not to use this unless you are getting expenses paid, as it's a hassle IMO printing out your Oyster history.
I think you're just going to have to bite the bullet here if you want to be an ambassador and buy an Oyster card.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Yes I know they pay travel and food costs (but not accomodation) while I am doing the ambassador job but they don't when you have to go for your training. I got through 5 selection processes to be given the opportunity and through all of those they gave everyone the impression that the 3 training days would be 3 days altogether. However it ends up that they are 3 separate training days which makes it more expensive and very difficult to do when you've got a job and 2 kids to sort out. Now I've come this far though I dont want to drop out.0
