How do i find out if my electric is cheaper at night?

ok might be being a bit thick here but how do i find out if my electric is cheaper at night and through what hours? tried to find out by looking at my bills but cant work it out. had a bit of shock when actually looking at my quarterly bill today and trying to cut back!!

It will only be cheaper at night if you are on an E7 tariff-the tariiff name is shown on your bill, and you'll be billed at two different rates, one for cheap rate units and one for peak rate (don't confuse this with 1st tier and 2nd tier units) The hours vary by region and are determined by the DNO, not by your supplier, but wll be a 7 hour period, normally between 12.00 and 8.00.
You will probably only be better off on E7 if you have night storage heaters and an immersion heater linked to your E7 meter.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
