I have just re read your last post and it seem's you want to backup MORE than just passport numbers etc ....oO( Which a Flash Drive Would Be Perfect For ) May'be you should consider splitting your backups into catagories. Avoiding placing password & official documents or copies on the internet.0

I use this online storage service.
It does 128-bit SSL encryption on the data before transmitting it online. You can scan your documents and store them safe with this service. It does really fast backups as it implements data compression techniques.0 -
I carry around a USB flash drive with a Truecrypt file on it. This contains 'My Documents'. When I am at work I sync it to a Truecrypt file kept there, when at home I do the same. I always have my data with me, I always have an off-site backup and the drive is encrypted in case I lose it.0

Just encrypt it. Use something like RC4 encryption. If anyone breaks that then they'd be able to hack the military, banks, most things. You can't get much more secure than that. It's impossible (or virtually) to break.
And even then if you're worried about the data, just store it so only you'll be able to understand it and the average eye won't.
Personally a small zip file encrypted, no one will bother to break it. a) they won't know if anything valuable is within it, b) they could do better with their time."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
