How do I go about claiming my PPI - seems so complicated.

Hi,

I'm soooo tempted to go via a PPI Claim Company because it seems like a head-ache too me....

The problem I have is that I have no paperwork for past loans or bank accounts.
I have got an up to date credit report from Equifax which states some old loans and credit cards. But I have since changed banks and have no old paperwork, can't even remember if I had PPI on the loans.
Would going to a Claims company save me all the hassle? Or how would I go about claiming myself? Thanks

RESIST THAT TEMPTATION, it is easy to do it yourself. I have replied to your other post regarding a SAR.
A claims company can not help you unless you get the account numbers to them, if you are going to get the account numbers WHY, WHY, WHY hand over to them and let them keep up to 50% of your redress. All they do is send the paperwork for you :( It's a no brainer Ted, honestly you will get all the help you need here for 0% ;)

it is easy to make a complaint.

A claims company still requires you to tell them why you think you were mis-sold and you need to give them details of the companies you wish to complain about.
