Switching Joint Account to 2 Separate Reward Accounts?

Options
Hi,

Taking advantage of the £100 offer to switch to Halifax's Reward Current Account, I applied for OH and myself and got accepted with the letters sent home this week.

Now, we both have a joint Natwest Current Account. Can we do a switch independent of each other? So
1. As part of my switch, I mention the Natwest Account and Sort Code to Halifax
2. As part of OH's switch, she mentions the same Natwest Account and Sort code as its a joint account

Never done this before so not sure if its possible and Natwest allow us to do so?I am also assuming with the switch we are not closing the Natwest account so a 'switch' just means moving any active DDs/SOs over the Halifax. Is this true? We have no DDs/SOs on the Natwest account so I am wondering what are we exactly switching to :)

Finally, are there are hidden T&Cs to get the £100 from Halifax? I ask because with this switch from Natwest, I am in effect not moving anything across!!!

Thanks
DV

It's a requirement to switch DDs across. So no DDs = no switch, I'm afraid :
This means transferring all your direct debits and other regular payments from your existing bank to your new Halifax bank account ("your account") with us.

In any event - you could hardly switch the same DDs independently? Once they've gone on the first transfer - they're not there for the second one.

Lots more experiences on this thread? :
