They're redesigning everything that isn't internet banking. That's coming later, apparently. :)

Internet Banking being the one bit that really needs updating!

I agree. It's always seemed a bit 'clunky' to me.

Is it me or does it look really bad? It looks very amateur and i've found this thread while looking around to see if they had been hacked!
  • I agree - it doesn't look great.

What really annoys me is I now have to click twice to launch online banking, whereas before it was only once. It seems trivial but why make it harder to do the main thing I go there for? Really frustrating and against the common-sense approach I've seen from fd so far.

    Just bookmark:

instead of the main page and it'll take you direct to the login page. After all, how often do you visit for any other reason?

Can't cancel or delete any payee (single payments only) set up. FD can't delete it for you either so it sits there until 13 months of non-use. As a result your list of payees gets quite long and bits drop off without warning...
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
  • It's looks really bad, not designed well at all.

I'm just hoping this doesn't mean that the revamp of internet banking will be like it. First Direct is a good bank, but there website is shocking. If the revamped internet banking is like the website, I may have to consider switching to someone a bit more user friendly.
  • I actually really like the new site, I think it's been thought through & designed really well - much better than the old one, I just hope that this design makes it way into internet banking.

The old website just felt really clunky and old, I also think that the new one helps to show the "Banking's Better In Black & White" theme as they use a mixture across all pages rather than mainly black like the old one.

It's also better than their first site!
