Refer to my previous post. CANCEL your standing orders and direct debits until you are back on track. Pay them when the money is in your account.

    That is awful awful advice...

Have you read the OP's original post " I am on a low income and didnt want to get into debt after struggling and just about getting out of it previously."

He didn't say it had to be a loan that incurred interest . . . if the OP is short of £40 for a couple of days, borrowing £40 off a family member would surely be better than asking the CO-OP to bend the stipulations of their T&C's . . . ?
 Am now in the same scenario again! Coop have earlier this week taken their £15 unpaid item fee for the bounced DD to Sky for last month.

Sky have in the past few days tried to take their subscription out for this month and because Coop took their charges it meant that yet again Sky Subs have bounced unpaid returned and I am now expecting another notice letter from Coop for another £15 charge for unpaid item fee in the next few days which will be collected next month :(

Ontop of all this I still have to pay sky's subscription (if Coop hadnt taken their fees there would have been enough money in the account to cover the Sky Subs DD).

Am now concerned that Coop will be cancelling my account as 3 strikes and its closed apparantly.

What can I do now to prevent this reoccuring , if anything ??

    Thanks :)

UNfortunately it sounds to me like you've not learned your lesson from last time . . . I don't mean that to sound harsh . . . and I clearly don't know your situation, but it's down to you to make sure it doesn't happen like this (Once bitten twice shy 'n all that) . . .

Is there no way you can amend the timings of the DD's that come out of your CO-OP account so that they're taken later in the month (presumably after you've been paid) so they don't bounce and you avoid the 'unpaid item fees'? Most credit cards, utilities (all companies that you've setup a DD with in fact) should be able to amend whatever billing day you're on so that payments are taken at the point of the month that suits you . . .

A wee bit of organisation to know what's coming in and out of your account at what times of the month will keep you in control and stop you incurring fees . . .

If money is so tight, have you considered the fact that maybe you can't afford to have Sky?

It sounds like a luxury that you can't afford.

I have £000's in savings and feel that I can't afford Sky so I don't have it. If I was missing DD's and had Sky I would maybe be looking for a light bulb to come on.

Maybe also worth looking at where else money is being squandered at.
