Santander Cards & MBNA

Hi all,

I've had some success and some setbacks with PPI and wondered if anyone can help.

I've managed to get £6000 back from Lloyds with one single letter - winner

However, Santander Cards (for Evans & Dorothy Perkins) and MBNA have written back to me saying i wasn't missold. On the basis that the ppi box was ticked on the application form.

The main arguments in my letter were that....

1. The advisors told me it was necessary to tick the box and that without it i would not get the cards
2. I have a substantial amount of investments which could have covered me should i have required it (this is a truthful statement)
3. I was retired and did not have a need to some of the protection that PPI offered.

MBNA have come back with a final letter saying the next step is the Ombudsman

Santander Cards have come back with a similar response but advise to write to the Financial Leaing Authority.

I'm not too hot on the next steps i should take - but i'm prepared to do what i need to. can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
