    You're still doing brilliantly cleggie!

Don't forget you can book holidays through Quidco for cashback too. I must admit unless I'm going to Amazon (go through nectar site) I always go through Quidco for anything I'm searching for! I must be a meanie!!!

Keep up the brilliant determination cleggie, you're a wonderful example of commitment.

    Take care,

You can earn nectar points through amazon?!?! I so didn't know that!!

Cleggie - you're doing a fab job. Limbo sucks, but at least there is progress!

I'd love to meet up and have a flask of tea with you! We're close in age, single mums, on a mission... Let me know next time you're going, and I'll see what I can do!

My two both have a friend round today, so four kids to feed for lunch. Just made up some JO pizza dough, and got some ham, pineapple and mozzarella out of the freezer to go with some lo sweetcorn and grated cheese. Sorted! And not many pennies for what will be considered a 'treat'!

Then, when they've gone this afternoon, we're going to go and get haircuts ready for the new school term.

Have a good day, whether you get to stomp or not!

Yes, you can get nectar points for a lot of stores online including Amazon. Go to the nectar website and register with them then use their webpage to get to where you want to go. I think there's also something with ebay through them too but not sure of the details.

    Glad I could help!

Thanks Spigs. I will have a look at it later.

Well, ladies and gents, i had an amazing phone call at 1pm saying that the bursary is going to be in my account on 23rd April!! Woo-hoo!! :j:eek:

Oh, and THATS not even the best bit! Its not going to be for £1000, its going to be for £2000 :D:dance:.

So, i am currently seeing how much i can spend on a holiday, and if i have enough left over from the holiday, i can pay iff the DWP the £730 i owe them :)
Probably not the most sensible logic in the world, especially on MSE, i shoud probably be planning to spend it all on wiping off debt, but i have never been able to afford to take the kids on holiday before and its a big dream of mine. So, against logic, i have decided to give myself and the kids a break that we all need!

You can get some reasonably priced all inclusive holidays, I hardly did any searching, and found this:

    http://www.thomascook.com/search/?trail=19008%3A05012012-09302012%3A19002%3AAI%3A62010%3ABalearic_Islands_-_Majorca%3A19010%3A2%3A12004%3A4%3A19012%3A2_0_0_17&dbTrail=&pageId=Rel55-435053

If there are three of you, that's £1161, another £100 pocket money (plus the £60 of your gc money that you won't be spending that week, leaving enough to pay off your debt!

    http://www.cooptravel.co.uk/Cheap/All-Inclusive-Holidays/

And on here, there's an all inclusive holiday to majorca for £233 each, making £700. I reckon if you spend a bit of time looking, you'll find something lovely, that you will all remember forever!

And for what it's worth, I remember all of my childhood holidays, because there weren't very many of them. If I'd had loads, they wouldn't have been the special memorable things they should be, and I wouldn't have enjoyed myself so much because they'd have been commonplace.

I am not sure, as of yet, if its going to be for £1000 or £2000. I think it'll be £1000 though. Apparently i should have been receiving it every year for the past 3 years of my degree, but i only realised i was able to get it this year!

Hi Cleggie - you are doing so well

Was going to see whether you could get this backdated, as if you were entitled to it for the last 3 years then it might be something to look into?

I say go for the holiday - your children will not be children forever and it is no good when they are older saying 'Remember the time you paid off your debts with your bursary, Mam?' :rotfl: It is these special times that will make lovely memories for when they are older (and you too), so you go for it girl:j:j. Would definitely try and get AI too, as that way you don't have to worry about all your spending money going on food and drink. Plus the kids can get unlimited ice cream and drinks without you having to say 'no' as you have spent your allocated funds for the day!
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

    Thanks MM.

Didnt think about asking if it could be back dated to be honest, didnt want to push my luck too far :o
Have since then looked on the uni website about it, and the website specifically says it cannot be backdated.
Never mind, its still money i wasbt expecting to have in the 1st place!!

My mind is constantly turning to how on earth i am going to work without any childcare, as finish uni at the end of June.

I thought of the obvious thing, which is a job in a school. BUT this has major disadvantages, one of which is the fact that i cant imagine anything worse!:rotfl:
Dont get me wrong, i love kids, but i dont think i could eat a whole one!;). In all seriousness, i just dont think it would be nice to spend all day around kids and then come home to my own. I hope that doesnt sound too un-maternal!

I think if thats the only option, then it would have to work, as we have been emailing the childminders in this town every month, since we moved here in August last year, and there are (as of yet) no spaces at all.

Soooo, i was thinking about the idea of becomming self-employed instead. I have been thinking about some ideas as to what i could do, and have come up with a list:

-Go food shopping for people (since i LOVE the SM so much!)
    -Cleaning peoples houses
    -Ironing
    -Pet sitting
-Or i could be like an 'odd job lady' and do a mix of all of the above!

Its only a quick random idea that i had, but i really like the idea of being my own boss, and actually being able to work!

HOWEVER- i wouldnt even have a clue how to start etc. Not only that, but is being SE a good idea in this economy? Dont i have to have savings behind me to start? I have a lot of questions, so will have to give it a good google!
