Dust sheets

We're about to paint the lounge. Not doing the ceiling so only need dust sheets for preventing spillage onto the carpet around the walls.

Any recommendations for cheap dust sheets?

PS. No old curtains etc as have recently moved and had a major declutter :)

Google dust sheets. They came up from £4.99.

    Poundland usually have some.

    I think they cost £1.

Or use old newspapers and move them along as you paint.

If you are that messy a painter then it goes straight through curtains when you've splattered it everywhere (especially when you tread on it!!). Large sheet of polythene taped down at the edges - just don't rip it.

    Cheers

Charity shop .. but old double duvet covers, then open them up .. instant dust sheets, better than cheap plastic sheeting.

I've seen duvet covers at £1 a piece, so for a fiver, you'll have plenty.

I did that, but always felt guilty letting paint fall on the sheets .. you would have thought they were my wife's best bedding.

Odinary dust sheets will not stop paint going through onto the carpet.

You need a physical barrier ie polythene dust sheets - 87p each at Screwfix

I stock up on them whenever I see them in Lidl. Also use newspapers.
  • you'd be as well picking up some of this bed linen for £3.99 - or do what we did and use your current sheets, it's an excuse to get new linen!

Plastic backed twill sheets are very good as paint spillage will not go through them but not the cheapest Im afraid..Think I last payed £30 for 5 from ebay
