Thrush bird nest dilema
A bird (I think it is a thrush) has built a nest on the slope of our roof underneath the dormer roof. My husband wants to remove it as he really dislikes birds. (There is no way the birds could get into the roof space as it is all carefully sealed !!). I could maybe persuade him to leave it, ie not get someone in to remove it, but I am very concerned that it seems very pecarious, and looks really likely to fall off. It is on the metal flashing and has a really steep slope. This would be a disaster obviously for any eggs or birds in the nest and also my husband would be really sick if he went out and found it.
What should I do? Get the guy to look and see if any eggs in it and if not remove it? Get the guy to remove it no matter the situation? Or try and make my husband leave it and hope it doesn't fall when it gets filled with eggs or birds.?
Also what should I do with the nest once I remove it? Could I put it in a hedge or something and would the bird use it? I feel really sorry for the mother bird having built the nest.
Advice or where to get advice would be great !!!!

I'd get rid now. It's a bit early for thrushes to be nesting, so it's likely to be an old nest, but there's also plenty of time for the birds to build another for this spring. They won't re-use it, no matter where you put it.0

They won't have laid their eggs yet, so this would be a good time to take it down. The birds will just go somewhere else and build a new nest.Val.0

You need to check the law - it may not even be thrush but anyways you need to be really sure that removing it would not be an offenceYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0

...and the birds wont hesitate about reporting you to the policeLife is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere0
