FM Cosmetics anyone?

Anyone have experience of selling these products? Seems like a similar thing to Avon!

If you take a look at this link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.php?searchid=121250359 all these threads should have something about the company in them.
  • I've already tried. There are 9 posts mentioning the company on the whole history of MSE. None are about selling the products. Thought I might have better luck in here!
  • Hi I haven't any experience of selling FM products but was contacted about doing so (I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant) and from I quick look it does look a bit like Avon and therefore i'm not sure how well they would sell especially with all the other competion.

Have you tried doing a Google search or maybe tried looking up reviews of the products on google for instance - that may give you a good idea about products etc. Sorry if you have already done so - just thinking of where you may find some more information on them.

I wasn't interested at all as am more than happy with Scentsy (they tried to contact me from an add of mine!) and i'm really enjoying building my business and am happy with the way it is going, so kindly declined their offer - they do look similar to Avon though so if you look into it maybe request more info or some samples etc as that way you will be able to see what the products etc are like - you need to be passionate and love any products you sell.

I hope this has been a little helpful and wish you all the best x
  • FM is a direct selling Company like Avon, Kleeneze and so on where you can retail the products and also build your own team if you choose.

As with any of these Companies its about finding repeat sales, i looked at FM sometime ago before joining my current Company, its about finding products that you can be passionate about and want to use yourself as that makes retailing them a lot easier in my opinion which is obviously what earns you the money.

I usually suggest to people interested in my Business to try the products first if they are unsure so perhaps you could try some products first.

Good Luck with whatever decision you make.

I signed up to FM a few months ago and I am finding it quite succsessful. I initially signed up to save myself money on xmas presents as the perfumes were cheap and I recognised a lot of the scents that were allready on the market.

I have now started selling to family members and friends and have recently ventured into party planning and building my team.

It is similar to avon as I have done this previously too however there are no minimum orders, approx 33% commission on what you sell, catalogues only change once a year and I have found that because its new and there are 160 different fragrances there are a lot of people interested in having parties which can be more effective than catalogue dropping.

Also you can begin building your team straight away.

Hope this helps, didn't want my post to be too long but if you need any more info let me know.

    Thanks

Thats interesting about lots of people are interested in having parties, are you advertising or asking friends? I have built a solid customer base with brochures in my Company but we have some great products that would party plan well including our own label toiletries and was thinking about trying this avenue as well but wasn't really sure how to get the initial bookings.

    Hi Debbie

I have not had much success so far with brochures, we even knock on and explain and ask if they would like a catalogue. Not sure if it's because there is lots of other catalogues in the area.

I attend lots of table top sales and local events with many products on display to promote the company and I offer free gifts for anyone who leaves their details and makes a booking. Seems to be working well at the moment.

    Thanks

  • I've literally just signed up to this today. I'm looking forward to getting started but I've noticed there's a £6 delivery charge when you order your products for your customers. If your only selling at craft fayres/table top sales how do you get round this? I'm guessing you wait till you've got a few orders to make it pay. But surely you can't make your customers wait too long?
  • Is there an order amount where postage comes down? I'm with another Company but when we place an order for a certain amount the postage comes down and we also get stamps which cover the cost of the postage which can be cashed in at anytime or saved , perhaps FM have a similar system? or could you have a few bottles in stock of the favourites or does it not work like that?

    Good luck with it.

If you speak the person who sponsored you i think you wll find the cost goes down in stages to £3 then to zilch depending on size of order.Plus i believe they give you a few extras now and again if you maintain a certain level.:D

By the way £6 is pretty good for (next day delivery in some cases).

No its not a good idea to keep people waiting especially if you have taken there money up front.;)
