I was going to go into work today but woke up feeling !!!!py - sore throat, aches and pains, general bleurgh so staying home an having a chill day. Although had two calls from mam and a friend t say they're popping in so probably won't have all hat much time to myself after all
Hope you feel better soon and manage to find some time for "you"Thank you for your kind wishes Ziggy, Wannabee, DNM and Pernicious, it has made my day
In short the first book is about how I lost all confidence in riding, through being virtually crippled in a serious accident and how the most cantankerous, obstinate horse bought us both back into the horse world again. It's a bit of a road to recovery operation for me and I hope that one day it may help other folk through a difficult time.
I keep a diary on here, my horse stars in it quite a lot, when I returned to the site, nobody remembered me, but everyone remembered my horse!

Hello, well I am having a very spendy day here - thankfully all on the company credit card so doesn't impact my finances at all! Quite therapeutic in some respects, although I have just spent 20 minutes comparing prices of hard drives to make sure I get the best deal LOL.
So today I will:
snuffle a load more Sudafed as I still can't shift this sniffle (actually wondering if 4 weeks means this is not a cold it makes conversations on the phone so much more hassle if I don't take the decongestant) free stock from last trip abroad so not too much to make it last)
Charge phones at work
lunch and dinner from stores - pie mash and beans
cold wash on to be hung on airer in preparation for the mammoth task that is ironing being undertaken this weekend (let's hope I manage not to iron my hand as I did the other weekend - still not mended!)
Scrub the downstairs of the house to stop the wine siren from getting to me when I finish work tonight
Plan what I am going to do with the front border tomorrow (time for a chop and if I can get some cheap colour then may be a few plants going in, but chop comes first)
Decide which classes I am going to do in the gym tomorrow and plan to fit this in with friend catch up
Phone friend for less than 59 minutes but repeat call action until conversation is done with glass of squash in hand NOT wine
Check out secret stash of nuts etc in work desk to make sure have supplies for next week
Meal plan and consequent Mr L / Mr T list for Sunday
Go to bed and catch up on some beauty sleep (oh boy do I need it, my eyes seem to have sunk to my vertebra - very scary especially first thing!)

Hello I'm new, but like the idea of small steps to saving... My baby steps are:
- De-clutter (take all the boys clothes that are too big for them to charity shop)
- Make food in bulk to last us longer (big chilli pots and soups)
- Write a small note in my memory jar so that I don't forget all the wonderful things my toddlers do
- Take a good look at my finances and plan a weekly budget
- Eat as much as I can at my subsidised canteen at work so I can eat less at home and keep it for the boys
- Go to bed earlier so that I have more energy at the weekend to play with the children... and on that note I am actually going to log off and go to sleep.
This has been the best thread I've been on (I just registered here today and didn't realise there was so much friendly chat on the forum ;o)
Night nightMum to 3 little boys that keep me VERY busy!0
