Ppi claim but no paperwork!!

Hope someone can help. I had a loan with beneficial finance which I paid off in 2005. I paid off the loan which (stupidly) was secured against my house. I was told there was no alternative loan at the time even though our credit was excellent and both myself and my husband both worked with a good wage. We were not a high risk for lending,!! This was actually a top up of an existing loan which I am pretty sure I had not agreed to. I work in the health service and as such would not need any ppi as I am well covered for sickness and job loss.
My problem is I just don't have any paperwork for these loans any more!! Is there ANY way I can find out the information I need to make a claim??

From just doing a quick search on line Beneficial Finance were taken over by HFC and due to the timespan (over 6 years) you may struggle
You could try a free credit check and it might throw up the last 4 digits of any previous loans, failing that try contacting HFC but I think you will be lucky to get any info Good luck in trying, someone else may be able to suggest another approach

Hi shelly,do as dilus says re the account number,and put the complaint in if any of the reasons for mis sell apply.

Some have won mis sell (me included) with loans from the 90s,let us know how you get on.

hi, have you tried ringing the company up . if you give them as much details as you can maybe they will give you your account number. it worked for me.:)
