PPI refund missleading

i got a letter saying i was given a certain amount of money and a cheque for this amount, i also opened up my bank statement and saw my balance was lower and it showed credit on my account, so i took it that i was refunded the ppi and a cheque was give as compentation, then i went online once the cheque was cleared to use the cheque amount to clear the rest of my credit card balance to find the amount back to what it was before the creidits come off, the person i spoke to said the computer sent out the statement before the cheque was issued (got both same day so lost there) and the manager said i was only geting the one amount, no where does it say this on the statement that this is not the real statement this is what it would look like if u took the money we gave u by cheque and payed some of ur balance... i feel this is a fraudulent statement missleading me to think i was getting a refund and compenstaion, he said computer error blah blah ,,, btw who puts in the info in the first place...has this happened to anyone else or have u just had either a cheque or a creidit off ur credit card???
hope this all makes sense lol

With Credit Card redress, the redress is put onto the card and then taken off when they send you a cheque.
Are you saying the ppi was refunded to your bank and taken off your card too????.
What was the total redress ,the cheque amount and the credit to your bank?.
It could be they paid the interest to your bank and the remaining amount to you as a cheque.
Sorry if i have misunderstood you.0
