setting up payments from HSBC current account

Hi,

I would like to transfer some money from my HSBC current account into my Skipton online account.

I am supposed to provide sort code, account number and also reference number for the money to reach my Skipton account.
The problem is that the HSBC payments platform does not have a box for the reference number.
Is there a solution to this? Do I have to do it via call centre?

Must have - otherwise no one could pay their gas bill / tax bill etc. Are you looking at the right transaction type? Should be 'bill payment' or similar.

In "make a payment'' there are three fields, acc no, sort code and payment reference.

And you'll need these details to send to a Skipton BS account:
Sort Code 20 – 78 – 42
Account Number 70798924
Reference Number: Your 9 digit Skipton Account Number
That is if your branch haven't already given you them.

I put it under Pay family friends & others as I pay money into other family members passbook accounts.
