Just a word of warning to some people. I spent my afternoon travelling to the outskirts of Edinburgh and back to get one of these. But once I got there and sneakily opened a box to check it out I was very disappointed. This duvet is about 1cm thick and that is no exaggeration. Fair enough it might be warm and temperature regulating but I love the feeling of a duvet. This isn't a duvet. It's just a very good blanket.

Got mine this week - it is thin true (think someone said this in an earlier post). I previously had a full goose down which was all "fluffy". I find this wool one is as "heavy" and actually, doesn't really feel any different to my goosy downie. It's definitely more than a blanket and so far I've been really pleased with it as I have now gone whole 2 nights (and long may it continue) where I've not been waking up too hot - throwing off the covers then waking up too cold & pulling the covers back over and so it goes on......

I can see why you might think that (and you didn't need to open the box as full size samples of all duvets are hung up in the shops :) ). But as my and countless others attest to here, the experience of sleeping under one of these duvets is nothing like a blanket.

I ordered one 11 days ago and it still hasn't turned up :( Emailed Dunelm to find out what's going on.
  • I'm still too hot even with the window open, doesn't work for me

Update from CS at Dunelm - I just called them.

An email will be sent out tonight explaining they oversold, they have secured more stock now which is being delivered to there warehouse either this Friday or Saturday.

They will then fullfill all orders early next week.

    Fingers crossed:T

Funny, I called them this morning and was told they wouldn't be receiving any further stock so my order would not be fulfilled!

= What ksh123 says, Plus it states on the box that the quilt has been roll-packed and that you need to shake it well before use. When you do it fluffs up in the same way that a sleeping bag does.

It is a perfectly functioning, highly efficient, ultra comfortable & hygienic duvet.

    Thanks again OP :T

    Received this email this afternoon.
Due to our wool products featuring on another website as a good offer we have exceeded our expected sales on these products.

We have now secured more stock to fulfil your order which will be despatched early next week.

Please accept our apologies for this unforeseen delay.

Thank you for shopping at Dunelm.

    Kind regards

Looks like spreading the word here caused the problem! :rotfl:
