Modern Apprenticeship and extra income

Hi all im a bit confused about a couple of things and was advised this site might be able to help without having to go down to my horrible unhelpful advisor at the job centre.
Basically im currently signing on for JSA and i found a modern apprenticeship, which i have an interview for tomorrow (friday). I was wondering as the pay for this is £110 per week, which is better off than being on JSA am i entitled to anything extra from benefits i just thought id ask so i wouldnt look like a beggar at the job centre hope thats ok and would appreciate any input

are you in rented accommodation, maybe some housing and council tax benefit. Otherwise nothing as the payment is more than JSA.0

I know you can't get tax credits with an apprenticeship, you dont say how old you are - you might be entitled to council tax and housing benefit if your in a rented house / room.0

Hi yes i am 24 years but i dont need housing benfit etc i live with my friend on his sofa till the council find me a more permanent flat of my own. yes i just checked tax credits and it says im not entitled to anything. so i guess £110 a week it is then. Not complaining its more than jsa lol. Hopefully i pass the interview tomorro0

Good luck and remember they can only pay you this rate in your first year.
