Barclay masterloan claim rejected

I took out a Barclay Masterloan loan for £10k in 2002 and finished paying it in 2007. I submitted a ppi claim 4 weeks ago, following one of the template letters and today I received Barclays final response saying they were not going to uphold my claim.
My reasons for the mis sell was that I was in a full time secure job with the NHS as a nurse and as such received 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay, so the ppi that was added to the policy was never required. Stupidly, my letter to them was in very general terms and I did not specifically mention this nor my pre existing back related issues in the complaint.
I feel a bit stupid! Just need advice on where to go now. Can I write back to them with these specific points since this was a "final response" letter or should I get in touch with the Ombudsman?

Get in touch with FOS,you will have a long wait though!,unless you contact Barclays,give all the reasons you believe you were mis sold,the main one being,this ppi was put on at the start of the loan and paid to term end with interest,this is front loaded ppi and is a big mis sell,look here for other reasons too
