  • well guys wanted to update his one for you al

have managed to get some mre information. apparently the information the mortgage was declined on was a default at an address we lived at 6 years ago (where we went bankrupt)

problem is so far i cant find it on any credit reports i am looking at so cant see why its still on there! the bankruptcy has gone as has any other reference to accounts prior to that

have requested a paper copy of my equifax report as online you can only have two previous addresses...really not helpful!!!!

have also requested my call credit report via the post too as it seems you can only put two previous addresses online with tha too

HOWEVER they still wont tell me which agency they have found the information with and are now saying they check cifas along with the credit reference agencies, now the reports i can view online have no cifas information on and i cant see how i can contact them directly so i realy dont know where to go from here!!!!!
  • and am also worried they are going to throw me in jail for not disclosing bankruptcy but i really didnt htink i had to...ok i know ignorance is no excuse but now im making myself sick with worry

Now why would they do that? Especially if they didn't ask you in the first place?

As has been said elsewhere, only disclose the BR if you are asked....and they have a justifiable reason for asking. Curiosity alone doesn't count.

    Try other mortgagors?

You only have to declare it if they specifically ask, there is no statutory duty to, just that you have to if they decide to ask you, it is up to them to decide what to ask you
