Hi,

I am still struggling to get to grips with the appliances in my new flat.

Can anyone tell me what this is or does?

It is on the living room wall, not attahced to any appliance, in an all-electric house.

Any ideas?

Looks like the thermostat controls and timer for your heating day and night temp controls ?

    Thanks for the suggestions.

My only heating is 2 storage heaters. Could it control them? (They have the usual output/input controls on the storage heater unit themselves.) If so, how do I program it?
  • Yeah looks like a programable room stat. Thats why it has day and night option and 24 hour clock.

Okay, great. So presumably I use the little dial with a sun pic to set the daytime temp I want, and the same for night time using the dial with the moon pic.

But what do I do with the 0-24 dial on the left hand side? Is that the time it switches from one to the other or something? And am I reading the red 'clock' hands to set the time, or reading the time next to the little white arrow at the bottom?

I suspect that it's been left over from an earlier heating system?
Is it actually wired back to anything? Does it 'click' when you rotate the temp dial?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
