investing matured cash isa.

I want to invest a cash isa that matures soon.I have other cash isas which I am prepared to leave. I think I would get better returns on Income shares, my portfolio includes emerging markets, Asia Pacific, China, UK small and mid cap and income with Troy Trogen and Invesco pep. The amount is about £5500 but cant make my mind up if to go through another income fund, buy income shares individually say £1000 x 5 stocks or buy monthly drip feeding. Don`t want to much more risk and will have the dividends Acc. As all my assets are with Harg Lans I will be going through them. I would be interested to hear peoples views.

Can't help with the Funds / Shares choice.

But do make sure you transfer the cash ISA to HL as an S&S ISA. That way you keep the funds in the ISA wrapper.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
  • HL are relatively expensive for holding individual shares. I'd have thought a small number of individual shares would be more risky than a more diversified fund.

drip-feeding would be a bit harder if you are transferring a cash ISA. You could do lots of small partial transfers, I suppose. Otherwise your transfer would sit as cash in HL while you drip-feed it.

You didn't mention the option of just adding more to the funds you already hold.

Good point psychic I suppose I could top up the Invesco perp income, one thing if any one knows what is the difference between this fund and the high income. It might be a stupid question but they both look the same to me.
