Macdonald de montfort kenilworth paid £55 for this room arrived with a baby and child,20 mins from Warwick Castle not really recommended to families or anyone def not 4* more like 1*,realy needs updating big time
looks like a block of council flats on outside and really old fashioned inside, room we had was small, dirty with stains on the wall, smelly and quite cold we arrived at 9pm had requested a cot before and there was not one in the room, although the staff were quite helpful in bringing one up 20mins later) Breakfast again was quite dreary looked like something from the 1800s dimmed lights etc) parking was a real squeeze about 30 spaces to 100+ rooms
stayed at Travelodge Royal leamington spa next day
Located on high street and 15 mins from Warwick Castle) Paid £15 for this room on a Friday night and was pleasently suprised,(Having stayed at the Macdonald hotel Kenilworth the night before for £55)
Arriving with a baby and child, I was quite apprehensive about the noise, with the hotel being on the high street and a bar underneath,
when booked I enquired about the noise and the member of staff assured me that as long as I had a room at the back of the hotel It should not affect me, and it didn't!
The staff when seen were very helpful
Rooms were clean and big (stayed in room210), parking didn't seem a problem parked 5 mins away from hotel, to unload you can park outside the hotel for 10 mins.
The only problem I really had was intially finding it the only tip I can give you is that it is opposite ELC next to Zizis,
There are plenty of places to eat loads of places that do breakfast weatherspoons opposite hotel for lunch.
