What would my position be?

Hi,

Three years ago, I completed a DRO when I became a single parent.

Since then, I have qualified as a nurse, work full time and have a new partner:) I have started rebuilding my credit rating - I have a credit card that I put a few purchases on each month and pay off in full, I got accepted for a mobile phone contract and updated to a full (current) bank account.

I am moving in with my partner soon. He was a cash buyer and owns the house outright. The house isn't big enough for all of us and we will need to move in a year or so. Trouble is, we'd need a small mortgage to be able to do this (about £30k). Would I not get accepted for one? Or will he have to do it on his own? Other than that, I guess we could save hard.

Also, if we get a joint bank accont for bills, will his credit rating be affected by me?

Thanks
