That clearly explains why mutt and I only ever achieved the bronze award - lack of suitably organic bribes. Nothing to do with my training regime at all.;)

Absolutely. Actually I was really glad I did. When I turned up to do it, there were at least another 4 dogs he'd never seen before, plus when he was doing his down stay (3 mins? can't remember now), a boxer jumped on top of him! He looked at my hand with piece of said sausage in it... sighed and put his head back down as the owner dragged the disgraced boxer off him! :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Cheese, ham or pieces of chicken is what we used for all three of ours at puppy classes for treats.

I second Frolic, and also Tripe Sticks broken into suitably sized pieces.
Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.
  • Peanut butter! My Shepherd goes mad for it! Especially if I put in inside his kong, he will spend hours licking at it.
Toys, I give him pairs of socks (ready for the bin) rolled in to a ball and stitched together
  • I had a spaniel who would do ANYTHING for prawn crackers.... go figure lol
