My car needs new brake discs. If I buy them should I expect the AA to fit them?
Thats a bit harsh hes just started a new job so may be trying to keep the costs down.0 -
If we all had lots of money, would any of us be on here? I chose to use the resources that I pay for and the services that they advertise. Turns out, they can't even do the simple task of fitting a battery correctly so won't be using the AA ever again. The RAC also didn't reach a full conclusion to my problem as both were offering batteries for £75, with 3 year guarentee's. I got myself a better battery with 4 years guarentee for £50. Simple bit of economising really.
Now would you like some help down off that high horse of yours, or are you ok?:)
1. While this site is money saving it's not about doing things that have uneconomical repercussions so you should have a local garage you trust for things like this and should be using them instead.
While it's slightly more expensive at least they won't mess your car up as they want your repeat business, and rely on you to tell everyone they are good.
2. If the AA refuse to pay for your personal expenses you are going to have to investigate whether it's worth taking them to court to claim them back. If it is then you need to start on the process to this once your car is fixed properly in case their are any more issues.
Your case is different from most other cases as the AA, and their contractor acting on their behalf, should have refused to install a battery you brought yourself as per their policy.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
