    Wrong forum :-)

You only need to tell them the ticket number. Never send back originals to the council.

And make sure you get help first from pepipoo forum:

Did you know that most Councils routinely turn down the vast majority of informal appeals, but that if people appeal further then most win?

So, at this stage be aware that you will very likely get a rejection - if you do and you haven't started a thread on pepipoo yet, then start one with pictures of that PCN so they can tell you if you have grounds to appeal further.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Yes, if you have a genuine case then persevere. The local councils are frequently only marginally better than the private scammers when it comes to appeals.. it's all about grabbing your money at the end of the day, isn't it? But I have found the independent adjudicators to be generally Very fair, so if you have a good case you will win.

Most councils's first appeals is like appealing to a PPC, most of the time it fails, but appeal again then you might get up the chain rather than the "computer says no" monkeys on the front desk.

If you do send the parking ticket in for an appeal, make sure you keep a copy.
