Coffee stain on carpet

Hi

I have a coffee stain on my cream carpet! Unfortunately the stain has set and the cleaning products I have used aren't helping.

Before I spend a fortune in getting a professional in or hiring a machine does anybody have any other cheaper methods for removing such a stain?

Cheers

Mark

Then, when you've got stains, first smudge up as much as possible by dabbing the spot with a clean white-colored cotton or paper cloth. Try to avoid covering the area by scrubbing sideways because this is only going to increase the risk for stain to spread. Then remove the spot with COLD water and after that dry out the area thoroughly using a clean cloth. Continue doing this part as frequently as required. This will manage fresh spots.

For old spots you will need to first scrape off any congealed matter with a dull spatula or even a spoon, and then flush along with freezing water and dab using a dry up towel to take out moisture. Likely the spot is still there at this stage. Now, use the Ice cold neutral enzyme spotter and leave for around Fifteen minutes. Then flush and dry up.

    Hope it helps :j

Do you know anybody who has a decent steam cleaner? As a black coffee drinker, my steam cleaner has never failed to completely remove any coffee stains I've been careless enough to create on the beige carpets.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

You can use a wallpaper steamer as well, I know i tried this with a set stain.

Ammonia has always worked well for me on coffee stains, even old ones, although they did take more work.

don't know if it's of any use and probably too late now, but I used Vanish powder on red wine stain and it worked beautifully. The stain wasn't that old though.
