Why cant picture messages?

Hi I have a sony ericsson phone with a new o2 sim card, o2 sent me the settings for picture messages but when I try to send one it says "data account not set up". It is a pay as you go phone. anyoneone know how to fix this please?

go here (i know it is for the k610i, but select the phone from the dropdown box) and select the options from the lists.

if that still dont work, go into messages > settings > Picture message > internet profile > and select 'o2 GPRS MMS' or similar

How long have you been using the sim card and have you had a text from O2 saying that your account is able to send picture messages? Also you say O2 sent you the settings for your phone as a text message did you put in a code and activate them?

You could try requesting the settings again from the O2 website and following the on screen instructions
