has anyone else had an email from "paypal" about a customer service survey?
I have deleted it, as forwarding it to paypal is not much use as they say everything is fake! how do you know for certain that an email is definitely from them?
Another thing, if it is fake, how do these people know you have a paypal a/c, it was addressed to the correct a/c holder (hubby), we have never had spam or dodgy emails to our business email addy befrore, so how have they got the details? at least with ebay, you can independently check in your ebay measages.

You might want to take a look at the sticky thread about paypal and ebay spoofs and warnings on this forum.
Phish's are easy to spot and can usually be detected within the first few words of the email.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Absolutely 100% ignore and delete anything that is supposed to be from Paypal and asks you to logon to your account.0

If its from paypal it will say dear mr x xxx and spoofs tend to say dear paypal customer.
also, put your mouse pointer over the link and it will tell you where it actually links to in the status bar at the bottom of the browser. If its spoof it will say something like 86.540.05984.54150/blah/blah/blah.
Hope that all makes sense!0 -
If you are in any doubt about any e-mail from paypal forward it to spoof@paypal.co.uk and the will confirm if is genuine or a phishing attempt.
Always best to do this to be safe. They usually reply within 48 hours.0 -
