Welcome Finance PPI

Hi
I'm have no clue about PPI or claiming back or anything to do with it really so I would really appreciate anyones help on this matter.
I took out a loan from Welcome Finance (and paid a small fortune for the PPI) back in 2002 and paid of the remaining balance of the loan in 2004. I have no details of this because I've changed banks and my old bank no longer have me on record.
My understanding is that if the loan is 6 years old or more then they don't have to keep records, thus meaning you can't claim back the PPI. However, I've noticed a few companies online claiming to be able to claim back PPI from 10 years ago.
In summary then, I have no details whatsoever about this loan and it was paid off in full 8 years ago. Can anyone advise me whether it's worth me trying to claim back the PPI for this, and if it is, can you advise me the best way of going about it.
Thanks

Any help would be appreciated, even if it's to say I don't have a case.0

Go onto the Welcome website and find the office you went to. Ring them and they will give you the loan details. They are very nice.0
