From the point of contacting Barclays to reclaim PPI, can someone please advise how long I can expect to wait for the claim to be settled and monies paid into my bank account?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Hi and welcome
It's difficult to predict a timescale, although they should have 8 weeks as from when they received your complaint to give you a decision.
If successful, they may send you an acceptance offer form to sign, and it used to be that of 28 days approx after they receive your acceptance - you would receive your refund.
But they have been behind due to backlogs.
No harm in contacting them now and again though to ask for updates, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there,
I submitted an application regarding the PPI on my overdraft and, form start to finish, the whole thing only took 8 weeks - after reading some of the horror stories on here about lengthy durations, I thought 8 weeks was quite good.

I made a PPI claim against Barclays in July 2011. I just receieved a letter this week giving me a full refund of over £3100. So overall it took me 7 months, but it was worth the persistance.0

It took 9 months for me to get an answer out of them and several letters of complaint to get them to address my claim. Eventually I got a phone call last Friday where they said that they were still awaiting my acceptance of the offer, which I had never been sent! I got this through on Saturday and sent it back straight away so hopefully it won't be much longer. Considering it's been so long already though I'm not holding my breath!0

I made my complaint on 17th may 2012 and have just sent back my acceptance, so not to long to wait.0
