Thursday 16th February - What small DFW things will you be doing today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning guys! surprised that the thread wasnt started - are we all afraid after yesterday's double thread??? :rotfl:
so today is our 4 year anniversary & yesterday was oh's birthday. I paid for our couple of days away last week but felt really mean last night when I hadn't got him anything. So I signed up to audible.com and got a free download of a book I know he really wants :T felt much better!
So anyway today:
ok that's all I can think of. Hurrah that the weekend is in sight! Hope you all have a lovely day x

Morning all
Thanks for starting us off dnms, and happy anniversary to you.
I'm still feeling a bit down, and these new tablets for my migraines are making me a bit groggy in the mornings. Feels like a bit of a wasted week off work, and the fact that I'm already fretting about going back reminds me just how stressy that job is at the moment.
But good news, took OH back to docs yesterday and he's back on his medication for depression so hopefully we'll see some progress there soon as well.
I hope I can get properly back on the wagon soon, I've had lots of little spends this week that are just sneaking in and reminding me of my old ways.
Today:
Checked bank account
check for surveys
Go out to visit a friend (although lunch at a pub will most likely be involved)
flylady level 3
Sort through my stock cupboard and plan meals and shopping list for next week
Read and reply to more threads on here, encourage me back into mse ways
Washing in machine and on airer to dry
Have a good day everyoneNinja Saving Turtle0 -

Hi all
DNMS..hope you and OH have a lovely day. My OH didn't get me anything last birthday and it did feel a bit miserable so a good call!!
Piq...wow so busy. Will drop by your diary later..notice it cropping up there when I searched for this thread ;-)
Stitchy..I have used these before..in stews and stuff think no one will notice. If you like Indian food..then try a sweet called carrot halva ( made with milk, sugar, cardamoms..it's delish) kinda dessert but means you get one of your 5 a day!!
Wannabes..pleased to hear about your OH. Hope he feels better as a result? Hope you do too. Would try not to stress..am sure it will pass...maybe stress is making it worse?
So today I will:
- make a PAD
- get OH to pay in car money..WOO HOO!
- a going out for a work thing with OH this eve but already paid for and we will have veggie stew, pork steak and mash before we go...we can then not eat...altho am sure will have a couple of glasses..
- work today but will do 2 loads of washing and put on racks to dry
- decluttering study so can work more effectively...and put out a box for the charity shop....
- aim to list 3 items on eBay....
-lunch at home as WAH...OH will take sarnies or work at home too..he hasn't decided yet
-ENJOY the DAY..be positive....have decided need to concentrate on that more often
- keep house sparkly. It was beautifully cleaned yesterday ( not by me I might add:-() and I want to keep it like that, particularly as the DDs are away visiting my mum and dad
Think that's it..better get started on work now....

Morning all!
well, after last night's spenathon, I'm hoping to get back on the wagon today. Taking DS and two of his mates bowling this afternoon, with a living social voucher I bought a few weeks back for a tenner, includes two games and a hot dog each - have bought pop and biscuits to take with us too :money:
Today's list:
- dry washing on airers
- clicks, points, surveys, bingo etc
- brekkie and tea from stores, lunch inc in voucher
- attempt to have a nsd
- just exted someone who's interested in an item i listed on local facebook group - hopefully will lead to sale
gonna get off here shortly and tackle the ironing mountain - not mse but will allow me to tick something off my list!
have a great day, all xGOD BLESS DURAN DURAN
