I would feel robbed at paying a £100 as well, but here we like to give good news, and that is a private parking invoice is not enforceable, which means its basically toilet paper, the thing to do is to ignore everything they send to you, it wont go beyond junk mail and outlandish threats. Don't appeal to them, don't pay them, and don't worry about them ruining your credit rating, it won't happen!
We like to name and shame companies, which bunch of scammers are they ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Oh, and Pete:
IGNORE THEM. They will go away after sending you about six pieces of junk mail. DON'T be tempted to appeal just because you are right.
DO: Come back on this thread when they have gone, and confirm the advice worked (as it always does) so that other victims of the scammers will know what to do.0 -
If there is a landlord or retailer onsite, write and COMPLAIN about this harassment, threaten to sue them for the actions of their agent.
EDITED TO ADD:
Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.
You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

You've paid the landowner for the use of his/her land, ignore the PPC and the invoice for £100.
Chances of it going anywhere near a court-room are very low, £100 will be seen in the eyes of the judge as a penalty and not a true estimate of losses0 -

You wait until you get the threatening letters wanting to take you to court, destroy your credit file and send in the bailiffs to take your belongings. Will you give in then?pigeonpete wrote: »great help i am so glad i went on this site, i was so tempted to pay as i have always been honest in everything i do, and never been in trouble.and never want a bad record once again thanks and i will keep you all up to date on how things go.
