car alarm
my van , twice been stolen and alarm not activated although i know my alarm is fine .
i did put it to myself maybe having not activated the alarm and forgoten it .
yesterday a neighbour aswell his little van all tools stolen and no alarm and no glass broken.
speaking to him he mentioned he s very sure he put the alarm on as he always check s it before geting inside home
he mentioned there is a device that thieves throw on the garden, and that dismantles the alarm when you activate it....i never heard of that??
Has anyone got an idea that thing happens?

find out if you both use the same repair garage/valet place /bell boy at the local vinderloo
if not have you both got vauxhalls and local dealer doing extra curiculam for local thieves when he should be asking for log book verification0 -
big beautiful red sprinter van here, washed once a lifetime

If the alarm isn't sounding and your van keeps getting nicked, you could invest £250 or so into a fully fitted Thatcham Cat 1 alarm, such as a Toad, Viper or Clifford, you can add all kinds of goodies like exterior / interior scanners, remote start, glass break senors, tilt senors (if someone tries to nick a wheel).
I had one in an older car and everytime the bin-men came they set it off by vibrating my car with there lorry.0 -
All I can think is that somebody has somehow got a copy of your keys..... I'd see what places you and your neighbour have both been to and where you would have handed your keys over. Even it's a commercial vehicle dealership!!!
That or you both have the same van and there's an undocumented (so far) flaw that thieves are exploiting.....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
