Go for it it will look good,it is a simple structure and no to expensive will cost approx 4k more than a truuss roof, but will be money well spent,I was going to do it in our kitchen/family room which is 18x35ft but didnt want to spend the extra time involved etc,6 years down the line I now regret it! you only get one chance if it is in budget go for it! I would raise the pitch to 35 if you can, also have a scaled cross section drawing done with the a frames on so you can play about with timber dimensions paper, scale rule and some tracing paper.0

using a scale ruler, they have 4 scales 1:200 1:100 1:50 1:25 using 1:50 draw a horizantol line the width of your extension,on each end of the line draw a vaertical line the height of your walls (2.4m standard height) now with a projector from the top of your walls draw a angle at 30deg they will meet and form a triangle and you now have a cross section,so in your vaulted ceiling you can now draw your A frames in different depths of timber to see how it will look,if you start with 150mm depth then try 250mm you will see that 250mm is far to large, the point is by using scaled drawings you can see the building before you build it,also do floorplans and draw furniture to scale and move about the room, this might tell where to position windows etc,0
