R15 or R16 tyres

hiya - we're looking at a vw golf and were wondering which one would give a smoother more cushioned ride? the r15 right? thanks

Putting smaller wheels on maybe an issue when the brakes are now bigger than the wheels your trying to cover them in.

As long as you dont buy a car with silly super low profile tyres then the ride difference will be neglible.

Dont go below a 55 ratio 195/55 or 205/55 etc. Wider = bigger sidewall also.

The 55 means the sidewall will be 55% of the tyres tread width.
