    Putting smaller wheels on maybe an issue when the brakes are now bigger than the wheels your trying to cover them in.

    As long as you dont buy a car with silly super low profile tyres then the ride difference will be neglible.

    Dont go below a 55 ratio 195/55 or 205/55 etc. Wider = bigger sidewall also.

    The 55 means the sidewall will be 55% of the tyres tread width.
