Spelling mistake on mortgage offer - really worried

Well in the end I got my broker to phone Halifax and get it amended over the phone - he phoned me back 10 minutes later and said it was all done and he had the email copy of the amended mortgage offer in hand.

I did ask him if we'd been credit scored again and he reckoned not, but hmmmmm not convinced on that!!

Anyway it all went through absolutely fine - Halifax were great all in all. We've completed now and have been in our new house just over 6 weeks now! :beer:

It just all takes so long!

Our broker sent the name change form off to Abbey along with my wifes passport for identification on Friday, but it's in her maiden name. Therefore Abbey came back today asking for a copy of the marriage certificate which our broker has sent on. However we now have to wait until tomorrow for an answer!!

All this over one little "i". I despair, as all of this documentation was sent 2 months ago, and only 89/90 hours until the removal van arrives at our house to pick up our stuff!

What's the the no-buying-toiletries business about? Why would you do that? What about peridontal disease? What about bromhidrosis? Mother Mary and Joseph.
