Buy it now option

I have had a few emails on various items I've been selling asking what my buy it now price was. Would it be worth it to list buy it now prices as well as a starting bid for items?

hi BusyGirl,
when i was selling a tiffany bracelet before christmas, i also had loads of buy it now emails but said that i had lots of watchers so it was only fair to let the auction run,anyway i was thinking about £90 buy it now and it ended up at £145 so i would have lost out on that one:D
it can be worth it putting a buy it now price on, it depends what you are selling, but don't forget it costs an extra fee depending on the price you put on,
personally if i had something that stirs up the interest as yours obviously do, i would stick to the excitement of auctions, but that is up to you;
good luck whatever you choose
cheers:beer:one day my ship will come in and with my luck i will be at the airport:rolleyes:

A lot of my auctions have received these requests to buy it now, also the same guy tried the "I am desperate for one immediately" three times on my stuff. The price he offered was well below the value and the ultimate final auction price, he seems to do it a lot because when his sale items were checked against his purchased items he was reselling many of the things he had purchased for much higher prices, nearer the final levels my auctions reached. Many of these requests are people trying to blag a bargain or make some money on a resale of the item.Signature No Longer acceptable -

If Ive been auctioning something and get a Buy it Now request mid way Ive held my nerve and refused and to date the auction has closed higher than the Buy it Now offer. Notably none of the people making a buy it now offer seem to bid either.
I think they are jsut hoping you will sell it for what they consider to be a bargain price.0
